CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS:

3-Day ESCR Litigation Workshop

*Reply: fdelgado@escr-net.org by Mar. 1, 2019*

ESCR-Net is organizing a series of workshops for members to strategize about litigation, jurisprudence, and legal openings responsive to the global ESCR challenges identified in the Network’s social movement-derived Common Charter for Collective Struggle. For more information, please see the concept note (available in EN and SP).

The first workshop, co-hosted with the Centre for Human Rights and Development, will be June 11-13, 2019, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. If interested, please send a brief description of why you would like to attend and of any case (if any) you would propose for discussion.

The Strategic Litigation Working Group’s (SLWG) Steering Committee will choose 12-14 participants based on the interest received, the network’s core principles, and the four litigation topics prioritized in a recent SLWG survey: environmental rights, land, corporate accountability, and human rights defenders. ESCR-Net will cover lodging and incidentals. Limited funding is available for travel expenses.
