On 4-8 February 2019, ten members of the Economic Policy Working Group (EPWG) came together in Chiapas, Mexico, for a workshop on building a shared systemic critique of the dominant economic system, otherwise known as the “Chiapas Workshop.”

  • June workshop on environmental human rights litigation: ESCR-Net, together with the Centre for Human Rights and Development and in partnership with the Open Society Forum, will host its first of a series of economic, social and cultural rights (ESCR) litigation workshops this coming June in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Based on interest indicated by network members, the June event will focus on environmental human rights litigation, particularly involving corporate actors.

  • ESCR-Net hosts a general listserv (general@escr-net.org) as a space for members and allies to post human rights-related information, campaigns, and events. All subscribers are encouraged to pose questions, seek input and solidarity, and share resources and developments related to ESCR.
