The latest Financing for Development Conference (FFD4) failed to secure a lasting solution to the illegitimate, colonial and imperial debts that continue to threaten our future. Meanwhile, false solutions to the climate crisis continue to be promoted by the same institutions responsible for designing the neoliberal financial system. However, people’s movements are rising with young people leading the charge against governments who are more beholden to their financial backers than to their own citizens.
In response to the upcoming annual meetings of the World Bank and the IMF, we will be joining the Global Week of Action (GWoA), a critical alternative space centering the visions of social movements and civil society. With this year's theme "Stop the Harm, Cancel the Debt! Reparations and Just Transition Now," we invite you to join us virtually on Thomas Sankara Day, 15th of October at 1:00PM UTC (your local time here).
